On the 19th of February, we welcome Plastic Shed to deliver a creative workshop at our showroom.
About Plastic Shed
Plastic Shed works to ease the issue of plastic pollution by showing people creative ways to reuse their plastic waste.
Plastic Shed is a Community Benefit Society based in the heart of Stockport. They find new and creative ways to reuse plastic waste through creative workshops, products and art installations.
They recently completed ‘The UK’s largest 100% recycled plastic bottle lid mural.’ Made up of around 80,000 bottle lids that were entirely collected by the people of Stockport and Greater Manchester.
Whilst finding new ways to reuse plastic waste, Plastic Shed also unites people around the issue of plastic pollution, strengthening community cohesion, empowering people to take action and supporting individuals’ health and wellbeing as they contribute to a meaningful project and take direct action to help our environment.
The Event
We invite architects and developers to a mural-making workshop at the showroom.
Create your mini mural out of plastic ‘waste’ and see what amazing things you can create out of bottle tops.
You will spend an evening with Plastic Shed artist Caitlin Marie, the creator of the UK’s largest 100% recycled plastic bottle lid mural.
Using a 60cm x 60cm wooden board and a selection of bottle lid colours, you can get creative! Create animals, landscapes, objects… anything! Want to recreate your own pet from plastic? Go for it! The options are as open as your imagination.
The event brings together construction innovation with sustainability and community. It showcases how industries can collaborate to have a positive impact on the planet, transforming waste into art.
It will be the perfect opportunity to network with others in the industry.
It’s a great opportunity so don’t miss out.
