Barcombe Blend

For over 75-years, Bellway Homes have been at the forefront of building new estates across the UK. Recently, they built 3-4 bedroom houses in a new housing development in Prestwich. A project as local as this one was perfect for us.

It was decided that the Bellway Homes Prestwich construction would go full steam ahead using our Barcombe Blend. The Barcombe is a subversion of the classic red, with dark shades scattered across every brick. The handmade nature of the brick helps to give each brick a unique appearance, complete with a creased finish.

Bellway provides advice and support on their website for a range of schemes, aiming to help those looking to buy a home. They work with the government’s help-to-buy model to provide affordable houses.

With the UK being in the midst of a housing crisis, providing opportunities like these is essential to supporting first time buyers. They also build their houses to be energy-efficient, helping to meet sustainability targets. It’s pro-consumer, and pro-sustainability factors such as these that made Bellway a great company to work with. They prioritised being a solution to the problem, which we can’t help but commend.

People have already started moving into the houses on the estate. This means we didn’t just help build a house, but a community. The final results look great, providing a modern twist on the iconic British brick house. Barcombe Blend really helps to bring the new homes to life. As such, we are happy that our bricks are a part of the Bellway Homes Prestwich community for years to come.

This brick I wanted is seen across London and the South East and has a history dating back 300 years, meaning I had a match for the historical context of the build.
